Hi, I’m Tamara — a Detroit-based data engineer, educator, and lifelong creator. I earned my M.S. in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan and spend my days building data systems and teaching Python.

Teaching has been a big part of my journey. I’ve worked with both youth and adults, helping people go from “I don’t think I can code” to building real projects of their own. I’m also passionate about supporting women in tech and contributing to more inclusive technical communities.

When I’m not working with data, you’ll usually find me painting, playing video games, or writing fiction. I’m currently working on a novel and experimenting with creative projects that blend art and technology.
